About Us

Club History
Originally established in 1985, we are a small friendly club who offer plenty of support and encouragement!
We're just a group of people from various walks of life who happen to enjoy running. Some enjoy a bit of competition whilst others enjoy the companionship.
Whatever you want from running you will be made more than welcome. The club has ultra-runners, marathoners, half-marathon, 10k and 5k specialists, there's a racing discipline for everyone.
We do all sorts of racing from 2 mile relays to 60 mile treks across the South Downs. We actively participate in the Sussex Grand Prix Road Race series and also in the winter East Sussex Sunday cross country series. .
If you just want to learn how to run, or just "go for a run" the club will be more than happy to help.
The Committee

Nothing happens in any running club without a hard-working group of volunteers doing loads in the background. They are known as 'The Committee'. Our club is no different. Our club is run by the members, for the members. Everyone on the committee is an active runner and can often be found out on club runs if you want to speak to them. It should come as no surprise that many of our committee are also our qualified run leaders.
