HRR secure Bronze in East Sussex XC League

Heathfield Road Runners (and Uckfield Runners) came a triumphant third in this season’s East Sussex Cross Country League, which was held last Sunday at Blackstock Farm in Hellingly.

We finished behind the ever-dominant Lewes AC (1st) and a strong Hailsham Harriers team (2nd). HRR were actually the second placed team at the Hellingly event thanks to a great turnout and performances from the combined HRR and Uckfield Runners team.

It has been some years since we have reached the dizzy heights of a medal position – a great result.

Big mention to Tony Lavender, David Woollard, Anne Bromley and Ian Bromley who managed to muster the energy to run at every event in this season’s calendar. Thanks also to Gill Boorman and Graham West for doing the results.
