Ragged Dogs
An old favourite hill session (I’m not sure whose) up Ragged Dog Lane near Waldron.
Can be done on any hill really so not hard to replicate at other locations for most of our runners.
The hill of Ragged Dog Lane is approximately 600m long and forms part of a circuit with Back Lane and Whitehouse Lane of about 1600m.
Here’s a map of the location.
The circuit is run anti-clockwise. The only hard work is done up Ragged Dog Lane from the bottom to the top, then turn left at the top and very easy jog along to Whitehouse Lane turning left again to start point and completing the 1k recovery.
Run 3, 4 or 5 laps depending on preference. Work hard up the hill and take it very easy on the recovery.
If you can’t make it to Ragged Dog Lane then a similar length steep hill will do, with a good 4-5 min recovery between efforts.
