Sarah Roff crowned XC lady champ

The star lady of cross country running was crowned as Heathfield’s Sarah Roff, awarded first for the overall lady and senior lady categories in the East Sussex Sunday Cross Country League.

Sarah was handed the honours at the final cross country event of the season, held at Blackstock Farm in Hellingly on 23rd February.

Her achievement is all the more remarkable as she had only started running competitively a matter of weeks before the start of the season in October 2013, rapidly ascending to the front of the leader board and convincingly winning three out of the five races held.
