A small and determined group braved the weather at Lewes last night for a track session.
Fortunately everyone was running the same session so we all stayed (roughly) together.
For the record, this is who was there and what we did.
Bev Graham Howard Alma Mark N Ian With apologies from Paul and Teresa.
We ran a simple introductory session of 8x800m with easy 400m recoveries. We aimed to run each 800 in 4 minutes (this was about 10k race pace for each runner). The purpose of this session was to get used to running at a consistent pace and to increase speed endurance by running at threshold (tempo) pace.
The session gave us a good basis for developing further sessions for the runners.
Next session will be 15th December — all members welcome. If we get a few more I might be able to negotiate a group discount.
